Hello you knowledgeable and vastly helpful people,
I have a noise thats getting gradually louder on my 147 its kind of like someone drumming their fingers faster or slower depending on the speed I'm going.
It makes no difference if I dip the clutch or not so I was thinking along the lines of a dodgy CV joint, diff bearings or wheel bearing in that order. I know the wheel bearing gets a bit boomy inside the car at higher speeds so is due replacement, however I have a feeling somthing else is adrift. Hence the cv/diff theory.
Hi, I just bought a 147 1.9 Ducati Corse from a main dealer. The noise started after 10 to 20 miles driving home from the garage, then everything vibrated at the front end when you tried to accelerate. It also started knocking when going round corners after 10 miles. The car went back (long story) to garage who eventually found the diff. bearings were toast.
Just hope nothing else breaks!
