Re: Car Cleaning Tips
isnt zymol a subsidiary/spinoff of swissol? or the other way around. sumptin like that.
most modern paints will usually be clearcoat. 156 for sure will be clearcoat.
if your graze has removed paint and u can see primer or the base metal/plastic underneath, no cutting product in the world will be able to help you. you will need to touch up the paint or respray.
if it's just a scuff/scratch, it will depend on how deep the scuff is. ive noticed that my alfa clearcoat is prone to chip and i have some spots where the layer of clearcoat has come off revealing the paint below. there's a distinct layer missing. using a compound like t-cut may help reduce the obviousness of these sort of damage but u wanna be careful cos u are cutting the paint already.
u wanna be careful when using an abrasive compound like t-cut. experience counts a lot, ie the pressure to rub at, direction, etc. always use a milder product like a paint cleaner or swirl remover first (great for lighter scratches!) before resorting to a harsher compound like t-cut. a paint cleaner might also remove most of the scuff if it's only surface damage or material from the bollard so u will have a smaller area you need to t-cut, if at all.
if ur not comfortable, get a pro to do the t-cut for u. cos if u mess up, ur gonna need to find a pro to clean up ur mess for u anyway.
after ur done, be sure to use a good sealant to protect what's left of ur clearcoat.
