Hmmm Front suspension knock 156

There is a knock from both sides when driving over bumps.
But the entire suspension on both sides was replaced 14 months ago.
The mechanic is not finding anything whilst commenting that everything is new.
Any thoughts from anyone?
My initial naive reaction was to wonder if it was the moulded plastic inside the wheel arch?
Surely not something that obvious but seemed slightly loose.
Thanks in advance

Lower wishbones wear very quickly on 156's 14 months is quite old for a pair. Uppers also wear as well as drop links on antirollbars and arb bushes too. If some of theses wern't changed when you had you suspension done then I would suspect these first. If they were all done then I would look at lower wishbones again.

Hmm, following on from Joss, when you say "whole suspension" what does that actually cover?

Upper arms, Lower arms, Shocks, springs, mounts, ARB droplinks, ARB Bushes (usually either these or the droplinks are the culprits but not always). did I miss owt? Usually do!

The ARB bushes aren't really obvious unless you disconnect the droplinks at one end (both sides) and give it some proper manipulation. PLUS, the bushes require a subframe drop to change them so if that didn't happen they've not been done - as yours is the facelift model and has metal anti-sway collars......

+1 as well that lower (and upper) arms can be quite short lived - especially the non alfa ones!
