Thanks for the feedback Super, out here you couldnt find a 156 say below $1K (ie. roughly 500-600 quid) unless it was a complete wreck (writeoff), even Twinnies from say '01 are still selling for more than $5K (ie. 2000 quid), and that includes ebay, let alone web based car sale sites.
The difference between Aus and the UK therefore.
I assumed JTS since that is what mine is, being a '03 plated model. I had assumed, thought the JTS was introduced in late '02, with the last of the twinnies being phased out in '02. Again perhaps that is what happened here in Aus.
We never got the JTD, only petrol, and late model facelifted JTS are still for sale between $13K-18K. I agree, manuals are worth slightly more than Sillispeeds and ditto, wagons are considerably rarer than sedans, so again slightly more valuable.
The one model that would have been cool to have got out here but didn't is the GTA wagon.
I guess in a way lucky you guys over in the UK as you can get your hands on a lot more for a lot less than us.
