Horror 147 2.0 Selespeed

Hello all. A year after a painful love affair with my Brera 3.2 q4 ( lots of electrical problems), glad I sold it, I was in great need of a more practical daily driver. So I came across a '06 147 selespeed with only 44000kms, one woman owner from new, and bought it. The car had sat for about 5 months. Put new battery, started immediately, and home we go. This was 4 days ago. I really liked the car, I was happy. Next day selespeed ceased functioning...3 times in rush hour. Parking sensor stopped functioning also. Windows go down all the way but up only in small amounts. The mileage counter started flashing like Christmas tree also. Took the car to Alfa specialist and had an Ecu check and selespeed calibration, changed oil, checked all fluids o.k. Yesterday it was awesome, no problem at all, very happy. Today, in pure Alfa manner, it throwed a mcsf engine error after I washed the windscreen, although the car drives normally. Got home and tried to open the bonnet for a visual check, and guess what, disaster strikes again, the cable snapped, leaving the bonnet stuck closed. In only 4 days this car broke as much as my other cars together in 5 years! I am really mad now, I really want to keep this car, but I cannot live with the constant fear that somethings going to broke on a daily basis. Sorry for the long post...

Thats horrid, I am on my 3rd Alfa and had to replace the sele actuator on the first one but apart from that and a few little niggles all has been good.

Just today i was advised by an Alfa technician that the drivers window switch is prone to failure which then causes the mileage to flash as the canbus system cannot complete a full check. Its not simply a matter of replacing the switch cos a new switch will cause the car to require a proxy realignment. This is the fault with a 147 ive got here which does exactly the same as yours although your problem may not be the same.
