Haven't done this swap - in fact I've never actually seen a sump without the extension - but I can't see why there would be a problem, although you'd presumably need to use more oil.....
I'd simply check the depth of the two sumps from the top plane to the bottom of the sump to ensure they are the same - if they are, use the inner baffle plate from your original sump and all should be fine. If they are different, you might need a different dipstick, which is where it could start getting tricky....When I have time I could check the parts manual (Eper) to see if there are any differnces in dipstick, oil pickup, etc....
