Saw a 156 1.6 2001 up for sale today.
It is in immaculate condition with a whisper quiet engine.
After driving it i thought it was very slow, is this acceptable on 1600s?
There is no history with the car but it certainly looks like its been looked after.
Even under the bonnet it is immaculate.
I can buy it for £800. It was a dealer trade in. There is no history with the car though.
Also after driving it around the block i turned off the engine and looked under the bonnet. When i pulled out the dipstick a bit of smoke came out is this ok? It seemed to be more white than blue, does this mean the rings have gone or could it still be ok?
Apart from i think being a bit slow it felt incredibly tight with amazing brakes.
It has done 139000 but even the interior is immaculate.
Should i take a gamble? My heart says grab it but my head not so sure, please help!!!
