Variable valve timing hesitation??
Hi, i was wondering if anyone has experienced this and what the solution was..
I have been experiencing a power loss problem since cam belt service a few months ago.
Replaced the usual ie( Variator, water pump, all tensioners idlers).
It is almost as if the VVT system is not cutting in/ working.
Have replaced a few items since with a slight improvement (placibo?)..
Well driving home tonight easy on the gas pedal i noticed when i hit 3000 TO 4000 Rpm
There was a sudden Power Surge , felt like a turbo kicking in, this is what i've been missing
for the last few months, i thought great the car is back to its former glory..
I tested this again further on and the surge of power has gone again and just felt like it was holding back a bit at the point where the surge comes on strong, almost a faint hesitating feeling, as if the variable timing was not cutting in anymore..
