We had a Westfield for sale a couple of years ago & had an e-mail from a chap in Holland, asking if we could take the car to him & collect the money + expenses when we got there.
After a few e-mails, we agreed to this (accompanied by a couple of scary looking ex-army mates - on expenses) & the buyer met us off the boat in Holland, as promised.
He paid for breakfast for the three of us, & we followed him & his two passengers
to his home.
He then paid us for the Westfield (in Euros), as well as reimbursing us for the boat ride (both ways), & expenses, inc. fuel.
We drove off, fully expecting to be ambushed for the Euros a few miles down the road. We got to the port, boarded the boat & got home safely.
So much for the SAS style operation
- a genuine buyer.....unusual, but a nice change!
