I've been getting a knocking sound from the rear for as long as I've had the car. I always thought it was the parcel shelf, but yesterday I was driving around with the rear seats, spare, boot trim and parcel shelf out and the knocking was still there, just a bit louder!
I'm pretty sure it's not the exhaust knocking on the bumper, as it was doing it before i got the Supersprint. However I've got some Powerflex exhaust mounts on the way just to be sure.
I seem to remember there being problems with the 147's rear trailing arms? But mine are light grey/white-ish in colour and I seem to remember they were the re-designed parts?
Is the knocking likely to be suspension related? It's getting quite annoying
Ive had the rear knockin soud but up till now can only isolate potential
sources on the 156 after so many inspections
U canlook into: The bushes on the trailing and link arms, plastic anti roll bar links, rear rubber top suspenson mount and I believe there is a small arm with a ball joint just below the srear shocks that connects to the trailing arm.
Ive changed the arb links but this aint the cause.... still looking
