Alfa GT side skirts
I have recently bought a Brunello Rosso red (Burgandy red colour) GT M-Jet, the car is in great condition, with the exception of two minor dents, one either side of the car towards the front of the sills. The damage looks like it has been caused by someone placing a lift underneath and missing the jacking points as the damage has dented from under the sills.
I have taken the car to the local body shop for an initial look, they seem to think that the damage might be difficult to get out due the the dents being on a crease on the sill.
My other thoughts is to get some side skirts and cover the dents up, has anyone got any experience with skirts on a GT? I cant find any decent pictures on the web that really show the detail. There are either blurry pictures of aftermarket "Lester" side skirts which look a bit angular and possibly spoil the lines of the car, or genuine Alfa items in black, but as the pictures are low quality and the colour is black you dont really get any idea of how they look / fit.
Any idea's? Pictures would be great, skirts including paint might be a cheaper option than a repair, but i dont want it being at the expense of making the car look like a done up boy racer!
other than that, a great car, cool Bose sound and so far 45MPG! Although traction is not quite as good as i would expect.
