Alfa 147 2.0l Twinspark - Suspension and exhaust question

I have recently bought my first Alfa, and liking it a lot. Ive got a couple of questions that hopefully some of you have got experience with and could share your wisdom!

I need a new exhaust backbox, the outer skin had rusted through so ive removed it for now, but as the inner skin is made out of rizla's I will be due a new box soon.....
- Can anyone reccomend a decent stainless option?.... Nothing too noisey
- Is there any performance gains to be had by just replacing the back box?
- If I was to spend a bit more in replacing more of the exhaust, what sort of performance increases have people found?... and again any reccomendations of where to get the parts or work done?

Looking at changing the suspension to give it a little bit of a sportier feel, and lower it around 30/35 mm.... because it does look to sit quite high!
- What suspension/spring combo's have people found work? I don't want to stiffen it up too much, would like it to be comfortable too!

Hi and welcome

Alot of people rate Ragazon exhausts on here and they are reasonably priced, I don't think just the back boxes alone are too loud so they are a good low price option, a custom one may work out cheaper and you can chose the sound levels too, CSC aint too shabby either, just shop about and read what others say, if money is no object and you can find one go for a unicorse

Can't advise RE suspension but check out the tech and tuning forums on here there will be a fair number of options in there people have experience of, enjoy your stay

The CSC exhaust is perfect as it's no louder than the original providing you keep the silencers in place.

Cheap too.

Not stainless, (stainless is generally a bit louder)

CSC oval tail box for all TS 16v cars. for Alfa Romeo 147 parts and spares
