In the days when I could afford engine tuning I had a 33 Sportwagen (twin webers, not injection) - I'd done a little tuning on previous cars but decided to try an 'expert' - I took the car to the late lamented Bill Blydenstein at Walden Engineering, Shepreth for a bit of 'fettling'. (These were the days of hand drawn curves, I think I still have the graph somewhere!). Bill very much believed in getting a spread of torque for "driveability" on a road car and I was most pleased with the result. I'll always remember his cheery "There'll be more to come as the heads coke up a bit!" as I left - these were the days!
I put konis all round and had thicker anti roll bars fabricated - made for many amusing "But that's an Alfa ESTATE that's just passed me........." moments.
