Full diagnostic test done on car, so all problems are now known to me. Not too bad, but confusing..
Small hairline crack in manifold which cannot be welded for some reason. But apparently it's only a problem when car is cold and it usually heats up and seals in seconds.. so not going near this issue
Next, inner track rod.. just need to replace part..
Next up, engine misfire in one of the cylinders. This is the confusing bit.. On the diagnostic sheet it says ''spark plug needed, ignition coil fault''... then it says i need one ''plug supressor'', and then in the garage the guy (an absolute gentleman and an alfa fiend) said.. the only parts you'll need are inner tie rod and an ignition coil. Perhaps he's supplying the rest..
From my weak description of the issue, could ANYONE please tell me what exactly the problem is, I don't quite understand ignition coils, what misfiring is, plug suppressors, spark plugs..
ps in the shop there was this 147 (that dark green), the engine was running and the bonnet was up.. it was just being let out after some work and they were just checking oil and getting a few readings. anyways, it ticked over so so so smoothly, it was a 2002 (same as mine). Just restored my love for bella and I cannot wait to hear tht noise from mine once again!!
