Help Immobiliser fault

I have become a victim of an immobiliser fault on my alfa 147ts. This problem reared it's ugly head a couple of weeks ago, during the big freeze. the battery went flat, and once charged the fault came on the dash "Immobiliz Fault" with the yellow key. Everthing else seems to work not done any major checks yet. started removing panel under the dashboard to attempt to check connections of antena wire, seems to be a little more than 2 x 10mm bolts. My keyfob needs replacing has the battery holder is missing. so unable to arm/disarm the immobiliser with the fob. However the transponder is still present. any sujestions please....

Thanks Gary

my 147 immobiliser also lost key codes when the battery went flat. Keys needed to be reprogrammed again.

YEP all of the above is true, i have had this problem on a few 147s only once i had to repair apart of the loom that was due to the car being sat for over a year.

Get your key code 1st then perform the routine of inputting the key code, if the car starts then it should only need the key coding/reprogramming?

good luck?
