Ongoing fuel/relay switch? issue...
Roughly two years ago my 156 refused to start and the AA came out & found fault codes relating to fuel.
Took advice from a very good alfa mechanic who cleared codes and has serviced & repaired the car over time. Never had any further problem although injector light on dash does come on every time car started & flashes for a minute.
During recent cold snap my battery froze & died - AA came out & replaced battery but the guy nudged the relay switches in front of this whilst changing. Car then refused to start so he disconnected & reconnected a couple then wiggled them until it would. 'Motor system control failure, go to dealer' etc. came up but car seemed fine & the warning dissapeared after a couple of days. Figure these switches could relate to original problem.
Three weeks later (yesterday) the motor system failure warning came back up & i experienced a considerable loss of power, although it will still drive.
Upshot is i need to drive down to Dorset this afternoon and would massively appreciate any reccomendations of someone who could have a look (and knows what they're looking at) close as possible to Lyme Regis area...
