I've had a quick serarch on here and couldn't find anything similar to my problem. Just the usual answers like a rev counter issue or corroded RR bulb cluster, so i'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
The bulb warning light on my 156 JTD does the usual of appearing when the ignition is switched on then goes out with the other warning lights (as normal). It appears for a fraction of a second when the brake pedal is pressed. It does the same when indicating right, the warning appears for a fraction of a second everytime the indicator flashes.
This happens regardless if the sidelights are on or not. But, bizzarrely the warning light does not appear if the brake lights are lit, and indicating right at the same time
I have done the following:
1: All bulbs checked including number plate lights, none blown.
2: Rear Right lamps checked while ignition off, no sign of it being lit at all
I'm going to get a multimeter on the rear lamp cluster tomorrow to see if there's any current being supplied while the ignition is off.
What else can i check? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?
