Doing the return leg of my regular Poole/Barnstaple/Poole trip today. Needed a bit of a shove to get car into reverse and then first as I was leaving the g/f's place but after that gearchanges no problem.
Well, until about 10 miles along the A361 link road where it really didn't want to get in any gear at all. Managed with clutchless gear-changes until just by Tiverton when faced with a queue of stationary traffic I wimped out and dived into a layby. Clutch pedal goes pretty much straight to the floor with hardly any resistance, it just feels lifeless. When I did get it into first, the car was creeping forward with the clutch pedal still pressed in.
Called recovery, car sitting outside dealer awaiting opening time tomorrow morning and my wallet starting to twitch already.
No clutch-slip experienced beforehand, fluid level is at max (assuming it's a shared clutch and brake reservoir as I could only see the one).
A few weeks ago the clutch wasn't feeling quite right but indy took it for a spin and pronounced it was fine and indeed it had behaved until just now though in retrospect the last couple of days did see some moments where the gear changes weren't quite as easy as they normally are.
Watch this space.
Edit to add, it's a 2006 GT JTDM with 41,000 miles.
