Had a small an oil leak dripping onto the exhaust manifold on my wifes' 2002 2.0 147. I figured it out to be the Rocker Cover Gasket that had gone, after looking at this thread
description was just about spot on, cheers
Only problem I came across, was when the camshaft, tensioners etc was done 15 months ago, they put the rocker cover back on (with the old gasket?) & over tightened 3 of the bolts, so when i came to undo them today...snapped. Managed to get the thread that was left in the head out OK & replaced them. Overall, this took about 45 mins, including finding 3 replacement bolts.
Also did an ECU re-set
after the Rocker cover was back on.
As SteveD GT
said, it has made a hell of a difference. The car's faster, more responsive, better fuel consumption, got rid of the 'throttle jerk' at low speed high gear, windows smoother....all round, fan-bleedin'-tastic.
Thanks to all those who contributed to the the threads above & for those who need to do these jobs, have a go, they're fairly easy to do & make a big difference.
