Chip Tuning Box 156

Today I browsed ebay and found a chip tuning box, what do you think about this?

if you want more power do it properly not with a cheap tuning box that just changes the fuel pressure.

agreed get the job done properly! those chip tuning boxes dont give that great a gain and not exactly setup for your engine. you would be far better off on a proper rolling road job that gives better reliability, greater power and is setup to your requirements and car.

There are a hundred different threads on the subject, do a search but if you want a relatively scientific comparison of tuning boxes and remaps take a look at here:

In short, you'll get better/more usable gains from a reputable remap, but remember it's not just about the numbers.. The ebay boxes are a lot cheaper. You pays your money, you take your choice.. Knowing what I know now, I'd go for remap but if you've got £150 and want a faster car, your choices are limited.
