My doors would not lock electricaly and the display says, Boot Open.
I finely got round to fixing this, here are my tips.
After replacing the boot lock and checking out the micro switch it came down to the wiring loom.
I didnt fancy doing this as I thought it was all going to be one piece.
but the boot micro switch and rear boot lights are one part with a joint/plug.
Once I found this .. getting it out was easy, just feel for the clip click.
Getting this home, and trying it was just a simple case of
1. unplugging the existing loom, plugging the replacement in, hold the micro switch on the boot lock and press button on key, Hey presto it works
now remove knacked wiring, I cut it to bits so I could get a small screw driver in to release the wire ties.
and tidy up the boot and job done.
Happy bunny, my central locking works,
the part cost me .. nothing
the scarp yard takes pity on my now as Ive spent so much on silly things like this.
only downside was is was -4 out side today.
