Anyone know this 156?

ALFA ROMEO 156 2.0 TS Veloce- Auto Trader UK

Just spoke to dealer and it seem's ok. Had an engine re-build after cam belt fail in 2004 (all receipts to back up) and is due another cam change now but otherwise full S.H. and a shed load of bills.

What you lads/lasses reckon?

Have an engineer check the car for possible problems. Also I would advise you to check that the milleage is correct and that the driver's side airbag hasn't been changed (as a result of an accident). For that check that the colour of the steering wheel is more or less the same. Don't just take the word of the dealer. Ideally if you could take the car to an Alfa Romeo dealer and have them chack the car (they know the small details eg they can find if something has been changed as a result of an accident by the bolts used)

I think it needs to be good for that price as it is all the money IMO.

Needing a cambelt I wouldn't pay more than 1000 for it, and that is if it was a minter.

Need to flog the 147 IF I went for it.

But the 147 is mint and had belts done so really no reason too. Bugger it, keep the 147.

Sounds nice.... but over priced, if it is a minter and needs no work it's worth around the 1400 mark.

Hi i sold a 2000 156 with a genuine 32k on ebay for 1045 last month. There are plenty of them out there. I recon 2k will get you a nice 02/03 147 with a good history traction control and a good resale value cos the 147 is perhaps seen as more modern.
