147 Side Light Bulb-Cold weather?
I have a 2002 2.0 TS and its the best car i have had in a long time and im glad to say i dont have the major problems some owners seem to have all the time. BUT!
When i got the car three months ago, the only error showing was a side light bulb failure!
So i changed the one that had blown, but noticed the other side bulb waqs then not as bright as the one a changed?
So i got another one and did the other side at the same time.
Been fine ever since, untill tonight i started the car and the side light bulb failure was back!
Got out and looked and the system was right it was not working, so back to Halfords to get another bulb, i took the bulb out and it looked fine, had not blown, so i put it back in with a jiggle for luck but no joy?
So i put the new one in and bingo it works again>
The thing that bothers me is that one has gone again so soon after the last one (three months)
Does anyone else have them go as oftern as that, as the other thing that does my head in is the fact the bulb is unlike any other side light bulb i have seen, like the 501 type at £3 for a pair, but these are £5.29 in Halfords for just one! Rip off!
So for them to go so soon seems to be an expensive habit!!!!!
Does the cold make them go faster?
I know allot of people have problems with Alfa bulbs!
