I've had my 147 2.0 from new in 2001 (Y reg). I've taken it on track and tend to drive more spiritedly than most. I still have the same brakes and pads as when the car was new, with no problems (35,000 miles done now).

You'll probably find that it's not the brakes warping, but having pad material deposited on them unevenly because of overheating. This causes judder. Grooved discs are a good way around this, as they help the gasses escape more easily.

You guys use the brakes too much
