Crazed Clutch & Gearbox 147 jtdm 6 speed 'box

I'm not having much luck with my 'new' 147.
Suspect it's seen a hard life..... anyway, there has been a constant grumbling from the gearbox and I was pretty sure it was getting ready to die. Off to Alfa and the DET tells me that the three (?) main bearings in the box are on their way out.
So it's going to be fixed (warranty - thankfully) but it strikes me that if the 'box is having to come out the logical thing to do would be to replace the clutch at the same time.... question is.... which clutch?
I will be trying to persuade the chaps at the garage that it really should be their problem and not mine but if I have to foot the bill is there a better option than the OE clutch?
Although the car does have ASR.... I wonder if a Q2 would make sense at this stage.
HMmmmmmmmmmm - pockets are feally very shallow at the moment
