156 Battery Charging.........

Hi, ok may sound like a stupid question. I noticed my batteryhas been a bit weak of late. Newish battery. I need to charge it and have rickle charger. However, i cannot find spanner to undo battery and adjustable will not cut it as pos terminal is pain to get to! Question. Do i have to totally disconnect batttery to charge it? I know its a very newbie question, but am in no way shape or form a mechanic. (know thy strengths and weaknesses lol) any help much appreciated. Cheers shaun

It's 'good practice' to remove the terminals while charging - there are tales of spiking the ECU etc...mebee get hold of a cheap set of small spanners & not take the chance?

There may be an underlying cause for the battery drain, that prob needs loooking for....
