SeleSpeed Stalling From Speed when warm

so iv owned it a week and today the first issue. (2000 156 2.0 selespeed. 115k)

when coming off a motorway, after warmed up (about 70c) to a roundabout (going quickly down through the gears) she stalled got it straight into neutral the she started again fine, was worried when i went to park 5 mins later but she was fine coming to a stop after being in second.

iv done a few searches to possible causes..

the anti stall software- not sure its been done, ill check 2morrow, but this is more when its cold. no?

TDC sensor - ill give it a clean and check resistance 2morro but again more when cold

Air leaks - i had a quick look and couldnt see anything, and havent noticed any idle issues

low Sele Fluid - was just below the max line, will changing the fluid help?

while searching the only cause i noticed for hot engines was the Pump.
is this my likely cause? anything else i should check?

cheers in advance guys!

I had the same problem a few weeks back!

When it goes into neutral, can you manually press it up a gear (use the stick, not steering buttons) ?
You may have to press brake pedal slightly, if its to first gear.

Turned out to be a faulty sensor on my Selespeed actuator, but it might not be the cause of the problem on yours.

You can:
- get Alfadiag and a cable and try to re-calibrate the system, check clutch distance (should be 28mm).
- check the Selespeed cable under the intake pipe is seated properly (try taking it off, clean it, set it back)
- check the relays in front of battery (swap around)
- check your hydraulic pressure with Alfadiag. (could be faulty pump or canister)

others may give even more things to try.

Hope it works out.

Can you feel the clutch dragging when it stalls? If not then it's not lightly to be a sele issue. Make sure you're looking in the right place for the fault.
