how to guide is only if the solenoid part of the valve is sticking.
the electric actuator itself is just a basic push rod which pushes on the side of the valve body itself, which in turn opens the valve, there is no solid connection between the valve and the actuator.
I stripped mine down, more to check it over than anything else, probably took me half an hour to get it off, cleaned and back on again.
its only held on with 4 bolts, although watch out of the metal gasget that goes between the manifold and the valve.
once those are undone its 4 torx screws that hold the actuator onto the valve body, not difficult to undo either. a good hose down with some carb cleaner and some wire wool maybe and it will be fine.
i've got a compressor and airline so also airhosed it out for a laugh once I'd done, which can leave you standing in a rather funny cloud of black dust. not a trick to be performed if the missus has her whites out on the line!
