Constant overboost (1.9jtdm)
I've owned the car probably a couple of months now and I am starting to feel like I may have bought a bit of a pup!
I did check the ecu for faults before I bought it and nothing showed, but about 2 weeks after I bought her I got the dreaded MSCF overboost fault.
now so far I've replaced the vacuum pipe between the VNT controller and servo and the servo and vacuum hard pipe.
I've now also replaced the MAP sensor so I know that to be correct and I've still got the same problem, which is this:
the boost pressure is always higher than desired boost pressure. I have also noticed that when you get above 3,000 rpm the gap between desired boost and actual gets larger.
is there something I am missing here or do we have to assume the turbo is faulty?
can someone point me in the direction of the boost controll valve, or is that the bit the vacuum pipes connect to and if so where do I need to be looking for the VGT bit which moves the fins inside the turbo, to check thats the issue?
