talking about our problem of revs, i talked to an Alfa Romeo mechanic and he told me that usually the electronic chip engine automatically resets itself after 20 to 25 miles, because this unit is auto adaptive.
But I told to the chief of the alfaromeo garage that i have already drive over 400 miles with this problem without noticing improvements or adjustments to the engine chip, and also nothing changed about the revs problem.
he told me then that is certainly the little engine of the throttle body that needs to be replaced. should cost around € 200 original, or you can also find a lower price than original but still good quality. be carefull because this little engine of the trottle body is made of plastic, black coloured and is situated on the side of the trottle body too! maybe someone will tell us to replace all the complete trottle body. don't do dare, because it costs 800-900 euros but the real problem is only the little black plastic engine on the side of trottle body.
Bosch spare code of this little actuator of revs for my 2.0 Selespeed if i don't wrong is 0205003052 and, for the 156 1.6 - 1.8 - 2.0 manual gear, the original Alfa Romeo code is
I am now looking on the web some dealer because here in Italy if you go to buy that spare part into a shop it seems they want to sell you a kg of pure gold as it is too expensive.
I hope to solve this awful problem!
