Erratic Idle????

Have a 156 1.8 T-Spark
Has been off the road over 2yrs, i was given this for nothing, as it needed a lot of work doing.
have replaced the brake's back and front, replaced the interior (seats), rust treated, new front upper wishbones and a few other things.
Problem is: Run's fine, but when i come to a junction or light's, when i depress the clutch the idle speed jumps up to around 1500 then settles back down, it does this all the time, anyone got any idea's what could be causing this?.
If any more info needed just let me know.

Try a throttle reset:

Switch on ignition for 90 secs ... don't touch throttle or start engine yet. Listen carefully and you should hear the butterfly being repositioned in the throttle.

Switch off for 90 secs.

Start the engine but don't use the throttle. Leave it to idle for 3-4 mins.

Switch off, restart and tale for a drive.

If this doesn't work you might need to reset the idle actuator but to do that you will need a diagnostic system such as AlfaDiag or take it to a dealer (s).
