Re: How to improve loe end torque?
Ahem... Well, I got the part on Saturday, and it's a big pipe!
Last night, I removed my bumper and took off the sound boxes (there are two, main one with a resonator attached) and immediatly noticed that the hole connecting it to the air filter box is oval, and the new pipe is circular...
So I coudn't fit it at all.
I left the sound boxes off anyway, not much chance of me hitting a puddle in the way that would throw up that much water into the engine bay! So I drove it last night and today without the box, and all I can say is... the induction roar is epic! Turns from a cat to a tiger!
The pickup at 1000 to 2500 rpm is much improved, the car is much easier to drive in traffic... doesn't stutter or jump from initial start.
So, I'll take a photo of the pipe and intake hole and see what ye all think!
