thanks 10,500rpm i would go for those wishbones for one reason: cheap as chips!! i cant go for them on the other hand for 2 reasons: 1) its an old thread
and 2) i already ordered a whole set for 70e this morning over the internet... so im happy about that.
Alexie: very good point, i remember when i was having the engine replaced the clutch was on its way out as when id floor it the revs would climb higher than the speed. then when the new engine was put in this problem disappeared so i forgot about it, so thats why im weary.. it bited when it should and the revs dont have a mind of their own
needless to say im leaving it alone for now! if it breaks it breaks and ill get it changed then. Wishbones: yeah they are knocking, badly aswell so i do believe them on that as i knew it already
going over a bump sounds like the blitz! brake calipers im not sure, the didnt elaborate on it, just that the gummy part
is worn, thing is i have new pads all round and the brakes seem perfect... i havent checked the cv boots as i havent had much time, but they said they are split. that pipe thing from pic above, im not sure if i should buy it or not - in the sense does it impede the safety of the car or does it put more strain on the engine without it? and then i have overboost (they called it overboost pressure sensor) so far ive noticed that both the lower and upper turbo pipes need replacing as whooshing sound coming from them like escaped air. Deemac has been helping me with the overboost case but its not an easy thing to do and im at a point where i think the turbo is gonna fail soon, even though it shows no signs of it and i thought overboost gave a burst of power which i dont seem to get, just the normal pick up with a bit of lag and the egr problem is causing the rest of the lack of performance... sorry for the long post!
