Airbag Failure light on 2007 147
The Airbag Failure light came on while I was driving home last. Mild panic set in as I thought this was going to lead to another large repair bill.
I have now had a chance to read various posts on this subject and the most common cause seemed to be the yellow connector under the driver's seat. I 'waggled' this before setting off today and it went off. Job done (or so I thought). The light same on again after about 3 miles. I have just returned to my car and played about again with the connector. I'm not quite sure what I did, but it went off again only to return after a few seconds.
I then paid a bit more attention to it and moved all of the cables that I could see to make sure they went into the back of the connector properly, then I unplugged and replugged the connector itself. This time no luck. I'm fairly sure I'm barking up the right tree, but it's frustrating. Where is the cause likely to be? Loose wire into back of the plug or the plug itself.
I appreciate that this could be caused by both things mentioned, but I was wondering if anybody has had this experience and what they did to fix it.
