147 -front brake pad change question
I set out to change my 147 front pads & discs on Sunday, didnít really research it much before hand as I assumed it would be similar to my previous cars, changed the discs fine but the pads were of shocking fitment for a pattern part so didnít end up fitting them (I have the replacements now).
The question is when replacing the pads I didnít realise there were two bolts hiding under those rubber bungs at the back which would have made the job easier Ė I will remove these when putting the new pads in to save me having to remove the 19mm calliper bolts, however what about the big spring on the front of the calliper Ė does this need to be removed when changing the pads? Does it just pull off? Also what is its purpose?
