147 bulb replacement hell
This is my first subject/forum created blah blah, so excuse if it's a bit naff/banal or already done to death elsewhere on here.
I've just purchased a lovely nuvola blue 147... Lovely, until it blows a headlight bulb..
WHO designed the headlights?? I assume the idea of actually having to replace a bulb, came AFTER the car was in production?!
Impractical as my GTVs have been, at least a bulb change was a 10 second job!
On a 147 you need to prepare...
Be sure NOT to be in a rush..
Try to enlist the help of an intelligent 6 year old..
It will help if you are a transvestite (males only)..
And last but not least, be sure to have a slim-fitting glove (and a well stocked First Aid Kit)
Dependant on mental state, this can, if you're a 'faffer/curser' like me, take an inordinate length of time.. I went inside, paced around, got a coffee, trawler the web, reached a zen-like state of calm, and tackled it no prob..
The digits of 6 year olds are preferable for this job, it seems Italian mechanics are all hobbits? How ANYONE is expected to be able to poke around sharp metal when you can't even SEE what you're doing!.. Hence the need for a tiny mirror, I assume a make-up compact would be ideal, so ladies and transvestites are laughing (?)
Oh yeah, lastly, my main advice would be to find the brilliant advice on here, complete with very helpful diagram.. And if you're a wuss like me, wear a glove..stops all the razor cuts!
