Today, in my 156 2.0 TS Veloce (2001, manual), I pulled into a petrol station & the clutch pedal went straight to the floor. I managed to pull it out of 2nd gear before driving into the car in front of me at the pump.
Last year I had the Planet Gears changed (she sat after this for about 8 months not being used), as it wouldn't change into 3rd & she's been running fine for 4 weeks, up until 4 days ago, when the clutch pedal felt a bit strange & was engaging further up than usual (if I remember correctly, the chap replacing the Planet Gears had difficulty bleeding the system).
I managed to drive the car home, 5 miles, through country lanes & junctions, with the correct revs & managed to change gear up & down using the rev method with absolutely no clutch.
The pedal is still flat to the floor & I've tried to pump it to see if I can re-pressurise the system, but no luck as the pedal is still on the floor.
The brake/clutch fluid though, does look very dirty & I wonder if air has got into the system through being sat & not used for months.
Any help would be appreciated.
