It appears that MCSF warning is a pretty common occurance on these models. I had it quite regularly until recently - delayed start, cold start, fast hard driving used to trigger it until I disconnected most of the electric wiring connectors, fuses and relays in the engine bay and sprayed them with WD40, ESPECIALLY the lambda ones behind the radiator. Since then, it did not appear until I changed the battery yesterday, however, it disappeared after turning off and restarting the engine after a short run.
Only difference being when I had the MCSF light, it did not appear to interfere with the engine idle, running or drive. Maybe mine was an electrical glitch and yours is actually the real mckoy?
Tried checking the fault codes with Alfadiag?
