Hi, I am a fully skilled mechanic and a MOT Tester for 15 yrs, which I was self employed for 8 yrs but due to the credit crunch I went back to being employed, I still do work on cars for people on all makes and models and have been a Alfa Enthusiast for approximately a year, which I have invested a lot of money in buying the correct locking tool kit/s for doing timing belts on these engines. I always give the owner the choice of having genuine parts or O.E. Equipment parts and at the same time making the owner aware of other items that would be recomended to be replaced at the same time as replaceing the timing belt. I have always tried to advise owners of there best interest for there car for reliability and cost effective for repairs, as already stated in this link that some owners of any make or model do not always have there cars maintained as well as they should through various reasons. I live in Yate Bristol if anybody would like a price for any work of any nature or phone me on 07711 425437 I will do always do my best to advise or help in any way I am able to. To Shelly I hope the work is carried out well and you are trouble free.
Just to add I have a 156 V6 1998 that I bought as a MOT failure that I carried out a lot of work on aswell as water-pump, timing belt kit full service etc which is for sale and listed on AO classified good condition for year it is on a private plate, also in process of repairing a 156 2.0 Ts selespeed after the dreaded timing belt failure so I am getting a lot of knowledge and understanding of the Ts engine.
