'Drama Queen' refers to people saying "Oooo, I said something bad about AO, they're surely going to ban me now. But I'll take that bullet - because I'm so brave. I'll make a sacrifice for the good of mankind!"
If that isn't being a drama queen, I don't know what is! When have we ever banned anyone for that?
Are you right or are you right? You're wrong.
You've completely (and deliberately in my opinion) misjudged the entire tone of Ian's message. And you've misquoted me in stating what I claimed about it.
I never stated that it did
tell the user it had been placed into moderation - and I even made the point that I was working from memory and I wasn't 100% sure on exactly what was in the message.
I said that it had
been put into moderation (which is true) not that this is what the member had been told (simply because I couldn't remember off hand whether they had).
I said that the member had been sent a message which looks clear to me. I think that's true (although I'm happy to admit that it doesn't say anything about moderation specifically. But would you know what that meant anyway?)
You call it a 'sort of warning' to make out it's victimising. But it clearly isn't. Ian makes a point of saying in the message that it's not a warning. It's simply the easiest way of getting a message to the member to tell him that his post will have to be removed for now, to explain exactly why, and to explain what process needs to be completed before that can be changed.
"All it states
is that it's a kind of warning, and it's been pulled for rule breaking." you claim. Well that's simply not true, is it? It clearly tells him what to do next to get the group buy approved.
I can't see how anyone can take offence at Ian's message. (Incidentally, I hope you had gajh's permission before publicising his PM.)
I understand that you're frustrated about the amount of time taken to get back to you. But despite you calling this 'our job', it isn't. We all do this in our spare time, on top of working full time. And Joe is on his own managing traders. So it takes a little time to get things done. As for my responses to you being a little harsh - sometimes we lose our patience too. And your responses to not being able to do exactly what you want, when you want, since this whole episode began, have not exactly been entirely reasonable and laudable if you're honest, have they? They've largely been similar to your posts in this thread. Attacks on the staff members because they're not doing what you want, rather than attempts to engage us and fix the problems. I do apologise if I've gone too far - but there's only a certain amount of someone taking every opportunity to tell everyone how crap you are that can be taken before it starts to get your back up a little.
This thread = making mountains out of molehills + attacking people and putting people down when the sensible thing would have been to start a positive dialogue with them + Smaky taking his usual opportunity to take digs at 'the Evil Empire', which just happens to make him a lot of money = Disaster area.
Just think how much more helpful the thread would have been if the first post was a genuine attempt to get things sorted, rather than a transparently passive-aggressive attack?
