Alfa 156 JTS just fitted K&N Apollo
I have just completed the fitting of an Apollo universal induction kit (CIS) to my 156 JTS.
A case of having to do something as the old filter box had all the bolts rusted in place and removal would result in damage anyway.
The most difficult part was removal of all the existing boxes! After that though, simple... in fact the way it is positioned would make you think it was purpose made for the car.
I did use the cols air flexi pipe and routed this to the same place as the original (nearside wing behind the numberplate), very clean and dry here so no issues with water etc.
The only thing I had to do was fabricate a small bracket to support the cone from the original air box top mount.
OK my filter had not been changed for a while but what a difference! much sharper and far more willing to rev, just as an Alfa should be. Under full throttle the noise also is excellent, normal driving though you wouldn't notice any change in sound.
All in all it took me about 2 hours and is definitely worth the time/effort and expense, would recommend.
