When I bought my 156 SP3, the car had Contintental SportContacts R16. Road handling was superb. Now a couple of months ago, when my car went to the garage for maintanance, they changed my front tyres (withouth asking) with Contintental PremiumContacts R16 V. The rear wheels still had the SportContacts. The car still drove very good, no complaints so far.
3 weeks ago, I had to change my rear tyres. Since the front tyres were PremiumContacts, I replaced the rear ones also with Premium's. I went to an independent tyre-shop, since the garage charges about 2 times more. The shop balanced all the tyres (uitlijnen?).
Now my road handling is very, very bad. When driving 120km/h on the highway I feel like driving on soap. When I take a normal corner at normal allowed speeds, I have the feeling my car looses grip. Also the car "rolls" much much more then before. What should I do?
When I read the reviews, those Premium's are very good althou they have a tendency to understeer. Should I replace all tyres (again) with the new Continental SportContacts II or other tyres? Should I ask for a re-balance?
Thank you very very much if someone could help me. The car doesn't feel safe anymore
