As promised a Review of Bulbs for my GT. I was dissapointed in how Orange the GT's lights were so I set about a changing the bulbs for a more white / modern look.
I changed stock lamps for:
Sidelights: 1w SMD LED's:
These look Great, but 1 broke after 12 hours, ( still arguing with the seller, and sorced more from uk seller to avoide huge wait for delivery and future problems ), also they do cause the "Light Out" warning, a simple risistor in Paralel will fix this.
The Fogs: GP THUNDER 8500K H1 55w P14,5s Autolampen Xenon Optik
These Look fantastic also, very White and fill the headlight with the LEDS perfectly.
Diped & Main Beam: GP THUNDER 8500K H7 55W PX26d Autolampen Xenon Optik
These are much Bluer that the Fogs despite being listed as the same Colour Tempriture!!!
They look good, but the light out put is poor. The output is like moon light colour so it fails to higlight light the road ahead. aslo i think the output is no where near as bright as stock. driving down a country lane I know well last night I had two ocasions where I had to break hard as i didn't see the corner aproching.
I will be replacing these with Philips BlueVision ultra or X-tremeVision Automotive headlight lamp H7 12 V 55 W these are both whiter than stock and 30%-100% Brighter
depending on your choice.
In sumery I would recomend the LED's and GP THUNDER 8500K as fogs only, I will be doing my Town night driving with only these on. Go for Philips for Dipped & Main beam so there is light avalible when you need it.
