steering judder

hi folks-new forum memeber but alfa 156 owner for the last 7yrs!! my sportswagon just started to devlop steering judder-despite balnced tyres..any suggestions- completed 68000 trouble free miles to date 156 1.8 ts col:

Is the judder there constantly, or when you brake?
If its there constantly, i would have the suspension and steering components checked! A worn out trackrod end or balljoint is not something to leave.
