I checked variator solenoid and it is plugged in, that would have been an easy fix, i am thinking maybe timing out
it will be going back to specialists next wednesday for correction hopefully at no cost to myself, there is a sound
from belts like a supercharger whistle, they said it was probrably aux belt idler so they replaced that part and
M.o.t'd car last week, when i got home i noticed noise is still there, might be related to power loss, i don't know. But they charged me over £85 to replace idler which they supplied and fitted 2 years ago, i think they should fix this at no cost to myself, going by my phone conversation today it looks like they are trying to blame the variator solenoid.
I will post outcome next week, thank for all the replies.
