Selespeed Oil Leaking into Gearbox - Fix ?
The Selespeed oil, which here in the Antipodes costs more than most aphrodisiacs, is disappearing into the tranny. It sure isn't leaking onto the floor via a cracked pipe or leaking from the breather.
Consumption from MAX to below MIN on the dipstick takes but a mere 1500 kiloflogs or just over 1000 miles.
Now, I've read as many threads as I can search on the seals at the rear of the actuator, which seem NOT to be simple o-rings, made from BunaN.
Is this the case, they are special seals ?
Has anyone replaced them, if so, then please let us all know the seal types, sizes, numbers or whatever if you are prepared to share the knowledge.
If you do know but wish for whatever reason to keep it the information and or source ) confidential, please email or PM me and I will keep the info under my hat, as long as I can replace my seals.
Here in Tasmania, an island off the southern mainland of Oz, we have but one Alfa dealer, so help is what I'm seeking. Am capable of dismantling the unit, replacing the seals, now equipped with Alfadiag and FiatECUScan for the recalibration as well as a rarebear cable.
Also have hydraulic test equipment, HP pump and regulator assemblies etc.
Your assistance is appreciated, thanks in advance.
