just found a good alfa dealer!
well not a good alfa dealer as such but a good service dealer.
Hylton Subaru/Hyundai in Shrewsbury.
Bought my car from a fiat dealer and had the variator problem but was really intermittant, went in twice to be looked at but never did it once.
Thought i would have a drive and take it to this dealer and they are great, really professional, really bend the rules and policies to give a good service. It is just coming up to 3yrs old and they booked it in to have a look. They booked it in a week later with a courtesy car and guess what it didn't make the noise. Regardless they said they would try and get the warranty company to pay.
Just got a call and warranty company have agreed to pay for the variator and labour but i have just got to pay for the cambelt (£28). So everything is being done for £28 just before it was probably needed (36,000) Though they said yes 72,000 a bit too long to leave belts but 60,000 is what they recommended.
Im really chuffed as it shouldn't sound like a diesel and everything is being done for £28.
Oh yea also i posted that my alarm went off when i opened the boot with the remote. Turns out the catch needs replacing and they are doing that under warranty also.
