ECU light on.

My ECU light came on the other day, so off to a local Alfa guy for a diagnostic, resulting in a new lambda sensor. Light came on again a few days later, so back again, to have the faults cleared. A few days more, and the light is back on, but the motor is as smooth as silk, and drives perfectly.

The car's a 9 year old 1.6 TS, coming up to 100,000, so I'm unwilling to spend too much on it, but I'm wondering if it's ok to ignore the light, and carry on until it starts to feel ropey. If it ever does. It always has been, and remains, a joy to drive.

I was thinking of trading it in for something a bit newer, but I suppose that's out of the question with an ECU light blazing away.

Any advice gratefully received.
