156 wing mirror glass

My right side 156 wing mirror glass is cracked ; so I want to order a replacement glass from ebay or similar online - I'm overseas and away from my car so cannot check it - is the glass flat or convex, blue tint or clear etc these are some of the options on ebay. These are supplied with adesive on the back so that apparently can fit over the cracked glass or the backing tape - for about £7. anyone tried one these?

Mine are flat and clear. Personally, I'd remove the old glass and do it properly, but t'is up to you!

I just checked the spare ones I have and they are flat with slight blue tint, glass is dated 06/01 and 08/02

I would buy one with the heater strip and backing plate, as its not too difficult to replace the existing glass especially if its cracked.

I'm not sure what cars were fitted with convex or different tinted glass - my spare mirrors are from the UK

I bought mirror glass for both sides recently, probably from the same ebay seller as he was offering the options you mentioned. Free postage and came within 2days which is good. Just make sure you choose the right ones. My passenger side one came with a clip but the drivers side didnt. I just assumed it would be the same as the previous one I had bought. If it doesnt have a clip, its stick on old glass style. Im a bit stuck now as my clip has broken and I have nothing to stick the new mirror glass to.
