Duffer's guide to a gearbox oil change?

Hi everyone, thanks for all your advice with my recent shifting problem - looks as though the main problem was gearbox alignment, now sorted thanks to the local mechanic.

All that remains is to change the gearbox oil - can anyone point me towards a really easy step-by-step guide for doing this on my GT JTD please? It's a LHD, presume that doesn't make a difference...

I have seen articles on the forum which talk about draining the diff as well, do I need to do this? (it's a 2005 model, not Q2).

Any recommendations for decent gearbox oil would be greatly appreciated as well!

Thanks agian
